Nostalgia Egyptian Music Band performs classic Egyptian songs on traditional instruments like the semsemia, ney, and tabla. Learn the stories and history behind the music and get a hands-on look at the instruments.
A joyful educational and cultural experience where everyone can gain an appreciation for the melodies of the Middle East, feel part of the Egyptian musical tradition, and connect through the universal language of music.
This Culture Days event is made possible with funding from the City of Burlington.
About the Band
Nostalgia Egyptian Music Band is an independent Canadian ensemble that preserves and celebrates the golden age of Egyptian music. Based in the Burlington/Halton area, they serve as cultural ambassadors, introducing Egypt's rich musical heritage to diverse audiences. This rotating ensemble of musicians performs classics on traditional instruments, along with their own fresh arrangements.
